TPJ Update 8/17/2011

At first, the Experiences Sky now calls 'Contacts' were baffling and upsetting to his worldview. Unlike anything he had ever heard of before, these miraculous Experiences were so scientifically impressive that Sky found himself following the Instructions given. Also, the Instructions given in these early Contacts were purely personal. They were obviously for his own benefit and clearly the kind of good advice that would be given by someone that loved you.

Upon deriving the equation relating energy, mass, time and distance in the late '80s, Sky was immediately Told in no uncertain terms that it should not be revealed and that it was the destroyer of planets. When he realized that he was obeying this Instruction and that he was not going to tell anyone about what he then considered to be his finest achievement, Sky had himself thoroughly checked out.

After extensive written tests and interviews with a team of professionals over a two year period, during which he reported all the Experiences he could remember (with the exception of the equation Experience), Sky was told that he was unusually mentally healthy. One of the doctors even told him that it might be only prudent to follow the Instructions given.

At this time Sky had still not been Told that these Experiences are from The Creator. This would not occur until many years later. Today, after more than 200 Contacts, Sky is convinced by the coherence between the beneficial Advice given in these Experiences and his growing understanding of The Prophetic Tradition that they are, in fact, what they are claimed to be -- Information and Instructions from The Creator.

On the other hand, The Creator does not claim to be the "God" that humans have imagined. Sky understands this to mean that The Creator, although perhaps in some sense the owner of the Earth and the life-forms on it, may not be the creator of the entire universe. Also, Sky suspects that although The Creator may have capabilities far beyond anything we can imagine, at the same time The Creator may not have the infinite qualities humans have wished for in their "God", in their desire for love and security.

Although Sky has been Told not to reveal anything about how Contacts take place, they are such that no information about the nature of The Creator is revealed. As far as Sky knows, The Creator could be anything from an individual life-form to a company or some sort of government agency administering some sort of wilderness or park. What is scientifically known is that our Sun is out on a spiral arm of our galaxy, far from the central cluster where the stars are about 200 million years older.

Sky suspects that the paradigms of thought necessary to accurately characterize this reality probably still do not exist in human experience. Although still suspicious of any and all authority, as opposed to knowledge gained through the scientific method, Sky has come to rely on what he has been Told, even if he does not always understand it at the time.

Another puzzle is the nature of 'Told'. Unlike the traditional "religious experience" of an apparition, a voice, or an Angel, the meaning of the Information given Sky in these Contacts is not always clear. The Instructions themselves vary in nature from specific words to what might be considered parables, and the lessons of the parables are not always understood until much later. Sometimes Sky has misinterpreted the content of a Contact even when specific words are given. An interesting example is "Follow Me":

Given in specific words when he was stuck for a song lyric in 2006, Sky originally thought that the 'Me' referred to himself, in spite of the fact that his psychological profile is that of a follower rather than that of a leader. However, a few months ago, he realized his error while reading the four gospels for the first time, as he was Told to do in Syria. Noticing that Jesus said, "Follow Me" more than forty times, he then thought that the 'Me' referred to Jesus. However, this may also be somewhat inaccurate, as Sky has only very recently become aware of the following:

I Kings 9:6-7 But if you or your sons at all turn from Following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight...

Another example of a misunderstanding that has only recently been cleared up is the funding of The Creator's House. Because Sky was Told in 2000 that it should be accomplished using the donations of a benefactor's least expensive piece of jewelry, he tried to set up a non-profit in the U.S. and another in Syria to receive donated jewelry. This turned out to be ridiculously difficult in both places, so much so that it was never accomplished. Also, when his webmaster recommended in January of 2010 that he should accept monetary donations on the TJP website, he was Told not to.

At the time, Sky assumed that the reason was so that this website would continue to appear to be what it is -- revealed Information and Instructions from The Creator, and not appear to be primarily a fund raising operation. However, the following recent Contacts seem to indicate that the reason for not accepting donations in the past was due more to a confusion about Sky's responsibilities rather than due to any perception about fund raising.

On 4/27/11, Sky was Told that the task belongs to others to raise the money to build The House of The Lord in Jerusalem. This was a great relief to him personally, as he found it hard to understand how a person with his limited leadership skills (and reluctance to ask for money) could accomplish such a monumental task.

On 7/20/11, Sky was Told that it is now permissible to accept monetary donations to support this website. These monetary donations to The Jerusalem Project will not be used to actually build The Creator's House in Jerusalem. They will be used to further construct, maintain and proclaim THE GOOD NEWS of The Jerusalem Project website mission. Should the level of donations become significant, it is expected that most of the funds will go to advertising and promotion, so that all the people of all the nations will know about the website and about what The Creator wants us to do.

Sky humbly apologizes to the Muslim community for the past use, in News Updates, of the term 'SOURCE1' to refer to The Creator. Advised by Kamal that it is considered unseemly to refer to The Creator using a term similar to that used to refer to the non-human entity Sky has called 'SOURCE2', in the future The Creator will be referred to on this website and in the promotion of this website as 'The Creator' or 'The Lord', although the names 'Yahweh', 'God', 'Allah' and 'Abba' have been used, 'Abba' being the Aramaic word often used by Jesus meaning 'Father'.

A new text color protocol will now be followed on this website. Information and Instructions from The Creator will be in red. Any text quoted from The Torah, The Holy Bible or The Holy Koran will be in purple. Any other quoted text will be in brown. Anything from SOURCE2 will be in orange.

Although the main pages on this website have recently had some of their words colored to reflect this new protocol, past News items will not be edited in any way, so that they will remain an accurate historical record of the time they were posted.
